I am also a member there. They seem to have some translations of games not available elsewhere. Vimm's Lair doesn't carry many homebrew roms because they want you to support the developer but some of them are available on Retro Game talk. I was all about collecting video games but I had my entire collection stolen from me and ever since becoming a poorfag and the prices of video games going through the roof, I solely rely on emulation and roms now. Maybe some day I can be a collector once more.
I would also advise anyone interested in rom emulation to check out retroachievements.

Even if you're not really into achievement hunting, it does make you want to take a second look at those games you've already played and games you never could find a copy of when you were younger. It still amazes me that you can find recent players there for the same obscure game you are playing. You would think with all the other available online distractions, that most of these older console games would be abandoned entirely.
