I think it's bizarre that shaved pussies are the norm. I'm not saying it's necessarily weird that women shave ever, what I mean is that it's weird a shaved pussy is considered the standard. When you think of a vagina, the de facto image your mind conjures is probably a shaved one.
"Hairy pussy" in pornography is considered a niche subgenre. A vagina with pubic hair is the natural state of a post-pubescent female, how she will look simply by existing beyond her childhood years, and we as a society have decided that looking so is desirable only as a fetish. Obviously it is the shaved vagina, being an alteration from what is normal, that should be considered a fetish, not the other way around.
Having experienced intercourse with women who have had both cleanly shaved vaginas and full on muffs, I can say that the bush is far more erotic. The way it looks and feels does something to my monke brain. It inflames the desire to procreate far more than a shaved vagina. Perhaps this natural reaction in the male brain - the signal that "she's ready" - is what those who shape the society's sexual psyche through pornography wish to snuff out in their continual efforts to reduce the birthrate.
I also find it ironic that we live in a culture that simultaneously tells 25 year old men that they're pedophiles for dating 19 year old women, but also expects women to alter the natural appearance of their genitals to look more like children.
