To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Ashley Jones. Her humor is extremely subtle, and without an undiagnosed condition of autism spectrum disorder most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Ashley's existential outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization - her personal philosophy draws heavily from Neo-Luddite literature, for instance. The tubbies understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Ashley ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humor in Ashley's existential catchphrase "Rima Dim Dim," which itself is a cryptic reference to John Lant's English nursery rhyme "Ding Dong Dell" which stands against animal cruelty and Dante the Magician's incantation "Sim Salabim" it also being a Danish nursery rhyme. Hell, the word "Rima" is even Spanish for the word rhyme, a nod to Ashley's Mexican heritage. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those ass-blasted simps scratching their cumbrains in confusion as Ashley Jones' genius unfolds itself on their touch screens.
